Team members rewarded for their commitment to a culture of safety

Tyler Union recently recognized two departments for their ongoing commitment to safety.

A special luncheon was held for the IMF and Side Floor departments to celebrate achieving no recordable injuries for 2024. The team lunch was put together by Safety and Foundry No Bake Manager Sandy Meadows.

This team, responsible for core rigging, core making, mold making and iron pouring, as well as finishing and grinding, also submitted the most team member reports of any department at Tyler Union, which includes reported near misses, unsafe conditions and unsafe behaviors.

“It's great to see the IMF and Side Floor department's dedication to safety. Achieving a full year with no recordable injuries is a great accomplishment, considering the tasks they handle on a daily basis. The special luncheon is a great way to recognize their hard work and commitment,” said Anniston Operations Health and Safety Director Josh Gunning.
